Beavers

‘The best thing we did was swim in the rain. I wasn’t even sure we were allowed to, but it was brilliant! I mean we were wet anyway, so I guess it didn’t matter too much about the weather.’

Beaver Scouts are the youngest section of our Scouting family. They can join when they are 6 years old and can stay in Beavers until they are 8 when they can move up to Cubs.  Their activities are based around making things, outdoor activities, singing, playing games, going out on visits, investigating nature, listening to stories, learning how to be safe and most importantly, making new friends.

A group of Beaver Scouts is called a Colony, and each Colony can be split up into smaller groups called Lodges.

Beavers have a Promise and Motto:

The Beaver Scout Promise

I promise to do my best
To be kind and helpful
And to love God.

The Beaver Scout Motto

Be prepared

Outr activities are based around working for badges covering activities and challenges, and we hope that by the time your son or daughter leaves us they will have a uniform full of badges!
